How XLR rates
- XLR rating
- Albums: a whole number from 1 to 10, given by a person on the desk after hearing the whole record. 9 and 10 earn Desk pick.
- Press score
- The average of published review scores we collect, each one linked. Where we hold no published score, there is no press score.
- Singles
- Three words: Skip, Good or On repeat. Everything marked On repeat goes into the weekly playlist.
- Never
- A rating for a record nobody here has heard.
24 records and 7 singles the music press wrote about, 1 Oct–8 Oct · each matched on MusicBrainz · XLR rates a record only after hearing it whole
